Admission
Applications for admission to the doctoral program of the German Research School for Simulation Sciences can be submitted at any time. Decisions about admission will normally be made within eight weeks after receiving the complete application.
Applicants should have a Master's degree (or equivalent) in engineering or in natural sciences, with grades significantly above average. Previous experience in computer simulation methods and evidence of English-language skills are required.
The high qualification of the applicant must be confirmed by three referees, who should send individual letters of recommendation and fill in the templates (reference form). The application forms can be found here.
After the initial admission decision, a host institute will need to be identified from this list. We will arrange contact with possible host institutes according to the preferences of the candidate.
Please note, that only complete applications will be considered. A complete application includes the following documents:
• Completed application form (form)
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Master certificates (if already available at the time of the application)
• Transcript(s) of records
• TOEFL or IELTS certificate
• GRE score (if available)
• Three recommendations (form)
