How to apply

Applicants who meet the requirements laid out here are strongly encouraged to apply. The application form can be found here.
The high qualification of the applicant must be confirmed by two referees, who should send individual letters of recommendation and fill in the templates, see here.

The Master's program starts in the winter semester (October). Applications will be accepted starting from January 1, 2012. The application deadline for the winter semester 2012/13 is April 30, 2012, for applicants from Non-EU nations, and July 15, 2012, for applicants from EU nations.

Please note, that only complete applications will be considered. A complete application includes the following documents:

• Completed application form (form, statement of academic purpose limited to one page)
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Bachelor certificates (if already available at the time of the application)
• Transcript(s) of records
• Two recommendations (form plus letter)
• For Chinese applicants only: APS certificate
• TOEFL or IELTS certificate (not required for holders of a German Abitur, see details)
• GRE score (if available / optional)
