Euro-Par is an annual series of international conferences dedicated to the promotion and advancement of all aspects of parallel and distributed computing. The conference covers a wide spectrum of topics from algorithms and theory to software technology and hardware-related issues, with application areas ranging from scientific to mobile and cloud computing. It provides a forum for the introduction, presentation, and discussion of the latest scientific and technical advances, extending the frontier of both the state of the art and the state of the practice.
Earlier this year, GRS had submitted a bid to host the Euro-Par conference in Aachen, August 26-30, 2013. We presented our bid at this year's Euro-Par in Bordeaux, France. The steering committee officially accepted our bid and announced the venue for 2013. Euro-Par 2013 will be jointly organized by GRS (Felix Wolf, Vera Kleber) together with Forschungszentrum Jülich (Bernd Mohr) and RWTH Aachen University (Dieter an Mey). In 2012, Euro-Par will take place on Rhodes Island, Greece, during August 27-31.
