Research

The German Research School for Simulation Sciences houses four own laboratories, two in Aachen and two in Jülich. The scientists of these laboratories are doing research on the following fields:

Applied Supercomputing in Engineering *
 Computational Biophysics
 Computational Materials Science
Parallel Programming

Please see here for a list of groups in Jülich and Aachen that currently use high-performance computer simulation intensively in their research, or which make great efforts to advance existing computational methods and develop new simulation techniques and tools. All listed institutes and groups are members of the section High Performance Computing (JARA-HPC) of the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance (JARA), the Center for Computational Engineering Science (CCES), or the Jülich Platform for Simulation Sciences (JPSS).
